Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh is to replace Terrence Malick as the director on the Che Guevara biopic, 'Che'.
Variety reports that production is set to begin in South America in August 2005 with Soderbergh also supervising the writing of a new script.
Malick left the project in order to shoot the film 'The New World' with Colin Farrell.
'Che' will star Benicio del Toro in the lead role.
