Brad Pitt is set to star in a new western, based on the Robert Hansen novel 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford'.
Variety reports that the film will be directed by Australian Andrew Dominik, who won worldwide acclaim for his feature debut 'Chopper'.
It is reported that Pitt wanted to work with Dominik after seeing 'Chopper' and the new film will be co-produced by Pitt's company Plan B.
Hansen's book focused on Robert Ford, a member of James' gang, and used his story to tell that of the legendary outlaw.
