Tarantino heading Cannes fest jury

'Pulp Fiction' director Quentin Tarantino is to head the jury of the 2004 Cannes Film Festival in May.

In a statement, Tarantino said: "To be (jury) president is a fantastic honour and at the same time a huge responsibility."

"For me, it's the crowning moment of an existence entirely devoted to cinema."

Tarantino won the Palme d'Or award at Cannes for 'Pulp Fiction' in 1994.

The festival runs from 12 to 23 May.
