'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' has won in three categories at this year's Empire Awards, voted for by readers of Empire film magazine.
The third 'Lord of the Rings' instalment was named Best Film, Andy Serkis, who plays Gollum, was named Best British Actor and 'Ride of the Rohirrim' from the film won the Scene of the Year award.
Emma Thompson was named Best British Actress, Martine McCutcheon Best Newcomer and Johnny Depp and Uma Thurman won the international actor and actress awards.
The Best Director award went to Quentin Tarantino and 'Love Actually' was named Best British Film.
