Hospital drama ER will delete scenes from a forthcoming episode, in which an elderly woman's breasts are shown as she is being treated.
In the wake of the uproar surrounding Janet Jackson's half-time exposure during the Super Bowl, NBC Network have confirmed that the scenes featuring an 80 year-old woman having medical treatment, will be removed from the show before it is aired in the United States tonight.
The network concluded that while the scenes were "appropriate and in context", the week's events would make it difficult to transmit the episode uncut.
Earlier this week Super Bowl broadcaster CBS was forced to apologise after Janet Jackson bared her right breast while performing with Justin Timberlake at the half-time interval.
The Federal Communications Commission in the US has launched an investigation into the incident.
