Irish guitarist and songwriter Kevin Shields is among the nominees for this year's BAFTA awards.
The former My Bloody Valentine frontman is nominated for the Anthony Asquith Award for Achievement in Film Music for his work on Sofia Coppola's 'Lost in Translation'.
Also making the shortlist are: Alexandre Desplat ('Girl With a Pearl Earring'), RZA ('Kill Bill: Volume 1'), Howard Shore ('The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King') and Gabriel Yared ('Cold Mountain').
The BAFTA awards take place in London on 15 February.
