'Punk'd' host Ashton Kutcher is developing a new hidden-camera show with MTV, a US take on Channel 4's 'My New Best Friend'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the announcement comes just weeks after Kutcher said that 'Punk'd' was to end.
'My New Best Friend' offers contestants a major cash prize if they can persuade friends and family that a person they have never met before - an actor - is their new best friend.
Kutcher will co-produce the show but is not expected to host; no broadcast date is currently scheduled.
