Kinks frontman Ray Davies has been shot in the thigh during an incident that occurred while he was on holidays in New Orleans.
According to reports, Davies was wounded when he chased two men who allegedly stole his girlfriend's handbag.
The 59-year-old singer-songwriter was taken to the Medical Centre of Louisiana but his injuries are not considered serious.
A New Orleans police spokesman said that one person had been arrested and that they were looking for the second person.
