Irish tour for Leopold String Trio

Norwegian-British ensemble, the Leopold String Trio, are to perform in Ireland from 3 to 13 February as part of Music Network's 2004 Spring Season.

They took the chamber music scene by storm in 1999 with their début recordings of the Beethoven 'String Trios' and have since played a series of outstanding recitals in major venues such as New York's Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Philharmonie Köln.

Marianne Thorsen (violin), Scott Dickinson (viola) and Kate Gould (cello) will perform a programme that includes Weiner's 'String Trio in G minor, Op. 6', Beethoven's 'Serenade in D major, Op. 8' and 'String Trio' by Irish composer Kevin O'Connell.
