Britney Spears will be single again after she and childhood friend Jason Alexander filed for an annulment of their Saturday wedding in Las Vegas.
A statement yesterday from Spears' record label, Jive, said the duo "took a joke too far by getting married".
It is reported that Spears and Alexander decided to get married during a night out in Las Vegas on Friday.
The singer was escorted down the aisle at the Little White Wedding Chapel by a hotel bellman.
