South African writer JM Coetzee was honoured at today's Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm.
Coetzee, who has won the Booker Prize twice, received the 2003 Nobel Prize for Literature along with a cash award of 10 million kronor (€1.1m).
The 63-year-old author is the second South African to get this award; Nadine Gordimer won the 1991 Nobel Prize for Literature.
'Elizabeth Costello' is Coetzee's latest book, some of his others include 'Disgrace', 'Boyhood: A Memoir' and 'Youth'.
