Peter Jackson has said that he would like to film JRR Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' prequel, 'The Hobbit'.
The director had dismissed previous questions about 'The Hobbit' but, at a news conference in Berlin, he told journalists: "I'd be interested in doing it because I think it would give continuity to the overall chapter."
'The Hobbit' is set 50 years before the events of 'Lord of the Rings' and features characters from the trilogy such as the wizard Gandalf, played by Ian McKellen, Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm) and Gollum (voiced by Andy Serkis).
Jackson is in Germany for the European premiere of the last part of the trilogy 'Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King'.
