Harry Potter takes childrens' Bafta

'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' yesterday took the most popular film award at the British Academy Children's Film and Television Awards.

The second film about JK Rowling's hero was competing against 'Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers', 'Hulk', 'Lilo & Stitch' and 'X-Men 2'.

It was voted for by thousands of children to win the Lego/Bafta Kids' Vote.

Best Feature Film went to Niki Caro's New Zealand film 'Whale Rider'.

The awards ceremony took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane last night with presenters including singer Kym Marsh and 'EastEnders' actress Michelle Ryan.
