Michael Jackson battling to keep kids

Michael Jackson is fighting to keep his children after a Los Angeles lawyer officially reported him to the authorities.

Gloria Allred officially reported Jackson to the Department of Child Welfare Services, saying that she had "great concern" for his children.

Jackson has two children with his former wife Debbie Rowe - six-year-old Prince Michael and five-year-old Paris. He also has a baby, Prince Michael II, with a surrogate mother.

In 1993 Allred briefly represented a 13-year-old boy who filed a civil action against Jackson.

Yesterday Jackson broke his silence on the child sex allegations levelled against him, calling them "a big lie" on a website he set up to give his side of the story.
