Actress Elizabeth Taylor has defended her friend Michael Jackson against charges of abusing a 12-year-old boy.
In a statement issued through her publicist, Taylor said "I believe Michael is innocent and that he will be vindicated."
Jackson hosted Taylor's eighth wedding in 1991 at his Neverland Ranch, near Santa Barbara.
In London, 30 fans have staged a vigil in support of the singer. His new album, 'Number Ones', has topped the album charts in the UK.
