The Irish-made documentary 'Chavez: Inside the Coup' has won two major awards at the prestigious Grierson Awards in London.
The documentary, which was made in association with RTÉ and the Irish Film Board, took the awards for Best International Documentary and Best Newcomer.
The Grierson Awards are presented to productions with social and cultural significance, which demonstrate integrity, creativity, originality and technical excellence.
'Chavez: Inside the Coup' has previously won the Prix Italia for Best European Television Documentary, the Best of Festival grand prize at this year's Banff TV Festival and two awards at the 2003 ESB Media Awards.
