Jennifer Lopez sued over promo vid

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for copyright infringement for the video to her song 'I'm Glad', a homage to the movie 'Flashdance'.

Lopez is being sued by Maureen Marder, the welder and dancer who was the inspiration for the film; the lawsuit alleges Lopez illegally depicted her life.

Marder's attorney said his client had refused to grant sequel rights or allow any further use of her story or identity after the film's success.

The lawsuit claims that Lopez and her record label, Epic, did not have permission to make the video and Marder also wants to be declared co-author and owner of the movie and screenplay copyrights.
