Bloom inks deal for new Scott film

'Lord of the Rings' star Orlando Bloom will play the lead role in Ridley Scott's new epic 'Kingdom of Heaven'.

The film is set in the 12th Century and tells the story of a young blacksmith who becomes a knight and helps defend Jerusalem from the Crusaders.

The Hollywood Reporter says that 'Kingdom of Heaven' will be shot in Morocco with a January start date planned.This Friday, 31 October, sees the release of 'Alien The Director's Cut', a digitally remastered version of Scott's acclaimed 1979 movie, which now features additional scenes.
