'Pirates of the Caribbean' director Gore Verbinski has signed up to direct the sequel to the hit movie.
Variety reports that Johnny Depp will also reprise his role as bungling pirate Jack Sparrow.
It is reported that Disney has already made sequel arrangements with Depp's co-stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.
There is no start date for the sequel at present.
