Before reprising his role as James Bond, Pierce Brosnan is to star in a new thriller called 'Mexicali'.
Variety says the film tells the story of a businessman who witnesses a murder while on a boat with his wife, who later goes missing.
He must then save her and make his way back across the US border with killers in pursuit.
The film has been written by Christian Gudegast and Paul Scheuring, the duo behind the Vin Diesel film 'A Man Apart'.
Brosnan is about to start work on crime caper 'After the Sunset' opposite Salma Hayek; the next Bond film is set to be released at Christmas 2005.
