Bono to speak at UN dinner tonight

Bono is to highlight the battle against AIDS at a major dinner in the US tonight.

He will discuss his ongoing work against the spread of the virus at the United Nations Association of the United States of America/Business Council for the United Nations' annual dinner in New York.

In other news, the Federal Communications Commission in the US has decided that Bono's use of an expletive during this year's Grammy Awards did not constitute a violation of broadcast indecency rules.

The FCC's Enforcement Bureau rejected complaints that a phrase used by Bono failed to meet the test for indecency and that it was so "fleeting and isolated" it did not violate the rules.
