Meryl Streep and Jude Law are joining the cast of Jim Carrey's new film 'Lemony Snicket'.
Variety reports that the movie is adapted from the series of children's books by Daniel Handler with Carrey playing Count Olof, an evil relative who plots to take the fortune of an orphaned brother and sister.
Law will play narrator Lemony Snicket with Streep in the role of Aunt Josephine, another relative who takes care of the children.
The film is due to begin production in November with a Christmas 2004 release planned.
