Queen Latifah is starring in a new comedy called 'The Cookout', which she also co-wrote and is producing.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the movie tells the story of an NBA star who becomes the No1 draft pick and organises a big cookout in his new mansion for family and friends.
Queen Latifah will play a security guard in the movie with rappers Ja Rule and Eve also in supporting roles.
The film is currently shooting in New Jersey and Latifah is also set to star in the sequel to hit comedy 'Barbershop'.
