The Irish Film Institute (formerly the IFC) will screen a selection of world documentary at their Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Festival in October.
The festival, which runs from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 October, includes screenings, workshops, public debates and competitions.
Work from Ireland, Sweden, France, Brazil and the UK will be showcased as well as the best of recent American films in a packed 25-film programme.
Films include festival guest Kevin Macdonald's docu-drama 'Touching the Void' and the controversial 'Capturing the Freidmans'.
The Festival Retrospective will focus on the work of one of America's best-known documentary makers, Steve James ('Hoop Dreams'), who will introduce his new film 'Stevie' and participate in a Directors Masterclass.
New Irish work to be screened will include Barrie Dowdall's 'Ned Kelly - The True Story', Tyrone Productions' 'The Sawdoctors' and Extreme Productions' 'Citizen Alec'.
