Pierce Brosnan has won a legal battle to gain control of a website that is using his name.
The World Intellectual Property Organisation said that Jeff Burgar, who registered the domain name, had used it in bad faith and that his behaviour "constitutes a pattern of conduct intended to capitalise on the goodwill associated with others' fame for its own illegitimate purposes".
Web users who typed in the url were redirected to a commercial website.
Burgar has in the past lost similar cases involving Pearl Jam and Pamela Anderson.
He has ten days to appeal the WIPO ruling, after which time Brosnan will take control of the domain name.
