Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is this year's recipient of the American Cinematheque Award.
The award is presented annually and honours "an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully engaged in his or her work and is committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion picture".
Previous winners include Denzel Washington, Nicolas Cage, Jodie Foster and Martin Scorsese.
Kidman will be presented with the award in November.
