Elaine Power from Waterford has clinched the €100,000 prize in reality TV show, 'Cabin Fever'.
The 33-year old from Dunmore East received the highest number of votes in this evening's live final.
Thousands of fans from around the country turned up at Sir John Rogerson's Quay in Dublin where the vessel, the Johanna Lucretia, is now moored.
Power works as a Supermarket Manager in Waterford.
When asked at the beginning of the competition what she would spend the money on if she won, she said "Gucci, Gucci and Gucci - and a large donation to the ISPCA. I'd also give a few quid to the Christina Noble Foundation".
Twenty-six year old civil engineer Cat Sheridan from Midleton, Co Cork, was the runner-up and IT consultant Fiona McGonnell, 30, from Cavan came third.
Cabin Fever began on 8 June and created headlines when the first vessel, Cabin Fever 1, ran aground on rocks off Tory Island and sank on Friday 13 June.
