Nicole Kidman is in talks to star in a new thriller called 'The Interpreter' for director Sydney Pollack.
Variety reports that the film is due to begin shooting next years and tells the story of a UN interpreter who stumbles upon an assassination plot in the course of her work.
She then teams up with a Federal Agent to save the life of an African leader.
It is Pollack's first film since 1999's 'Random Hearts'; both he and Kidman starred in Stanley Kubrick's last film 'Eyes Wide Shut'.
