Tributes have been paid to legendary Cuban guitarist and 'Buena Vista Music Club' star Compay Segundo who died yesterday, aged 95.
The official Cuban news agency, Prensa Latina, said that Segundo's death "creates an unfillable void in Cuban music".
Born Maximo Francisco Repilado Munoz in 1907, Segundo came to worldwide prominence following his appearance alongside Ry Cooder in the 1997 documentary 'The Buena Vista Social Club'.
Segundo will be buried in his hometown of Santiago de Cuba, 900 kilometres east of Havana.
