The Rolling Stones have confirmed that they will bring their 'Licks' World Tour to Dublin on Tuesday 9 September.
In response to unprecedented demand for tickets the band today announced the one-off Dublin date as well as additional UK arena shows.
With London dates already sold out, the 'Licks' World Tour is due to begin in Munich on 4 June and continue on to Italy, Austria, Spain, France, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic and Holland before reaching the UK and Ireland in August.
The new dates announced today are: Monday 1 September at Glasgow SECC, Friday 5 September at Manchester Evening News Arena, Tuesday 9 September at Dublin's Point Theatre and Sunday 14 September at London Wembley Arena.
Tickets for the shows will go on-sale through Ticketmaster this Friday 2 May at 9am.
Tickets for the Dublin gig are €55, €80 and €100 and are limited to eight per person.
The Rolling Stones last played Ireland twenty-one years ago when they headlined Slane Castle, County Meath on 24 July 1982.
