U2 are among the nominees for this year's Ivor Novello songwriting awards.
Their track 'Electrical Storm' has made the shortlist in the International Hit of the Year category along with Avril Lavigne's 'Complicated' and Robbie Williams' 'Feel'.
U2's 'Walk On' won Best Song Musically and Lyrically at last year's Novello awards.
The nominees in this year's Best Contemporary Song category are: Coldplay for 'In My Place', Ms Dynamite's 'It Takes More' and The Streets' 'Weak Become Heroes'.
Noel Gallagher is nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for his work on Oasis' 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'; he faces competition from David Gray for 'The Other Side' and Aqualung's 'Strange and Beautiful'.
Kylie Minogue has two entries on the Most Performed Work shortlist - 'Love at First Sight' and 'In Your Eyes' – while Liberty X's 'Just a Little' is the other nominee.
The winners will be announced in London on 22 May.
