Jude Law to become more like Alfie?

Jude Law is in negotiations with Paramount Pictures to star in a remake of sixties romantic comedy 'Alfie'.

The 1966 original starred Michael Caine in one of his most memorable roles, as a womaniser who must rethink his superficial existence.

Charles Shyer ('The Affair of the Necklace') has been slated to direct and screenwriter Elaine Pope, of 'Seinfeld' fame, is on board to update the story.

According to reports on Variety.com, Law has been offered $10 million for the part.

Law will next be seen in Anthony Minghella’s 'Cold Mountain' with Nicole Kidman, Renée Zellweger, Natalie Portman and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
