RTÉ has won three awards at the Celtic Film and Television Festival in Belfast and a Peabody award in New York.
The Peabody Award - 'the Pulitzer prize of broadcasting' - went to the acclaimed 'Beckett on Film' series and was presented by Barbara Walters at he Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.
RTÉ's Celtic Film & Television Awards were Best Documentary Feature for 'The Ghost of Roger Casement', Best Celtic Music Radio programme for 'No Gods and Precious Few Heros', and the Frank Copplestone Award for John Comiskey, director of the dance drama 'Hit & Run'.
Clare Duignan, Director of Programming, RTÉ Television, said: "Beckett on Film was a unique, quintessentially public service broadcasting project that RTÉ are hugely proud to have been involved in. The Ghost of Roger Casement and Hit & Run…are indicative of the range of work we intend to invest in more and more with the increased licence fee revenue."
