Madonna is dropping the anti-war video for her new single 'American Life' out of respect for US troops in Iraq.
A statement on her website said the promo was filmed before the war started and was not appropriate at the present time.
Madonna said she did not want to "risk offending anyone who might misinterpret the meaning of this video".
Madonna's new album, also called 'American Life', will be released on 22 April.
