US pop queen Madonna has strongly criticised manufactured pop acts and the current trend for TV talent searches.
Speaking to Q Magazine, she said the pop world had become "homogenised" and accused record chiefs of working out how wannabes can be marketed rather than finding true talents.
The singer said she could not understand the direction the music world was taking.
