Country legend Johnny Cash is to release his version of the Nine Inch Nails track 'Hurt' as a single on 21 April.
The release of the single follows widespread acclaim and interest in the promo video for the song.
Directed by 'One Hour Photo' helmer Mark Romanek, it shows a frail Cash performing the song in his home.
The single will be backed by Cash's reworkings of 'Wichita Lineman' and Depeche Mode's 'Personal Jesus'.
'Hurt' is taken from Cash's 2002 album 'The Man Comes Around', which is to be re-released with the promo video for 'Hurt' and bonus track 'Big Iron'.
