Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has officially joined Ozzy Osbourne's band.
He replaces Robert Trujillo, who recently became Metallica's new bassist.
At a showcase and press conference in California yesterday, Ozzy, guitarist Zakk Wylde, drummer Mike Bordin and Newsted ran through a four-song set.
Ozzy and his new recruit have spoken of their desire to write songs together and the new-look band will make their live public debut on 1 June in Vancouver before heading out on the Ozzfest tour later that month.
