Irish actor Colin Farrell has confirmed that he is to become a father later this year.
In an interview with ITV's 'This Morning' show, the 26-year-old Dubliner said, "Yes it's true - I am going to be a Dad."
He said, "It's cool. I'm chuffed, so over the moon. It's due in about six months."
A US publication had said the actor was to be a father after a liaison with an unnamed New York model.
Farrell has built up a reputation as a hellraiser since finding fame in the US.
The 'Daredevil' and 'Minority Report' star has boasted of a string of one night stands and recently accompanied Britney Spears on a night out.
Meanwhile, actor Ben Affleck has been telling reporters that his 'Daredevil' co-star isn't as crazy as the media would have people believe.
Affleck said the Dubliner is a really hard worker. "For all of those rumours of carousing and going crazy - he shows up at work everyday," Affleck said.
Farrell can be seen starring alongside Al Pacino in CIA thriller 'The Recruit', released in Ireland on 28 March.
