Norwegian trumpeter, composer and producer Nils Petter Molvaer is to play The Tivoli, Dublin on Saturday 3 May.
Molvaer will be accompanied by Eivind Aarset (guitar), Rune Arnesen (drums) and DJ Strangefruit (turntables).
His mixture of jazz improvisation, drum'n'bass, house, trip-hop, jungle and techno was showcased on his 1997 debut 'Khmer' which was acclaimed as one of the best jazz albums of the 1990s.
Since then, Molvaer has released two other albums, 'Solid Ether' and 'NP3', further blurring the boundaries between jazz and electronica.
