RTÉ has decided to extend the voting window for the final of 'You're A Star' from one to three hours.
Viewers can now register their votes between 8.50pm and 11.50pm on the night of the final, Saturday 8 March.
RTÉ said the move has been made following the unprecedented response to the talent search show. Last weekend 635,000 votes were registered in the 1-hour voting period.
An even greater response is anticipated for the final, which will see Mickey Harte, singing 'We've Got The World' go head-to-head with Simon Casey singing Bryan McFadden's 'A Better Plan'.
The final will be broadcast live on Saturday 8 March at 8pm on RTÉ 1. The Result Show will be shown live on Sunday 9 March at 8pm on RTÉ 1.
Both the final and the results show will take place in the Mahony Hall, The Helix Theatre, DCU.
The winner will represent Ireland in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest.
A webchat with the winner planned for 7.30pm on Monday 10 March has been postponed until further notice.
