Madonna has signed a five-book deal with publishers Penguin for a series of children's books.
The first, 'The English Roses', will be published in September and the series is understood to be in the style of children's favourite 'The Little Prince'.
Penguin did not reveal the financial details of the deal but said that Madonna had already written the five books.
While the books are aimed at children of six and over, Penguin hopes the series will have appeal for adults also.
