Robbie Williams has said it is more important to him to achieve success in Japan than in America.
Promoting 'Escapology' in Tokyo, the British singer told a press conference, "I can absolutely hand on heart say that I never thought about America with this album at all. I am actually more excited to be here."
"It is more important, Japan, than America for me, far more," he said.
'Escapology' is the former Take That star's fifth solo album.
Williams, who has sold around 28 million albums worldwide, signed the most lucrative record deal in UK pop history last year with EMI worth £80million.
However, he remains a relative unknown in the United States.
