The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been confirmed as headliners at Slane Castle on Saturday, 23 August.
This will be the Chili Peppers third concert in Ireland in as many years asthey played a sold out Lansdowne Road last summer and supported U2 at Slane in 2001.
Special guests for the event will include Foo Fighters and Queens Of TheStone Age.
An additional four acts are still to be added to the seven band line-up.
Tickets, priced €59.50, are restricted to 6 per person and go on sale at 8am on Friday, 7 March from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
