Metallica have announced that Robert Trujillo is their new bassist.
The former Ozzy Osbourne and Suicidal Tendencies four stringer replaces Jason Newsted, who left Metallica at the end of 2000.
Commenting on their new bandmate, the other members of Metallica said they had all been fans of Trujillo since the early 90s and loved his "roaring bass style" and "unique vibe onstage".
Metallica are due to release a new album 'St Anger' in the Summer, which was recorded with producer Bob Rock handling bass duties.
The band then embarks on a major tour with Trujillo, which includes a date at Dublin's RDS on 20 August.
