Achtung Baby wins NME readers vote

U2's 'Achtung Baby' has been voted the band's best album by readers of NME's archive magazine NME Originals.

The 1991 album took 44.9% of the Internet-only vote with 'The Joshua Tree' in second place with 26.2%.

They were followed by 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' (6.8%), 'The Unforgettable Fire' (4.7%), 'Pop' (3.6%) and 'War' (3.3%).

The band's other albums all polled less than 3%.
