Due to the large numbers voting, RTÉ has announced a change in schedule for the remaining 'You're A Star' results shows.
Results shows will now be broadcast on the Monday morning after each show at 8am live on RTÉ 1 television and 2FM radio.
Since it first aired on 5 January, the show has received ever increasing viewers and voters. Last Sunday’s show attracted over 650,000 viewers (42% of the available audience), and in excess of 330,000 votes.
A statement from RTÉ read: "As a result, and on the advice of all our service providers, RTÉ has decided to amend the scheduling of the results show. This will allow additional time to receive and process votes made. The voting window will remain the same - from 9-10pm after the 'You're A Star' show on Sundays 16 February, 23 February and 2 March. The final will be held on Saturday 8 March, and a different procedure will apply on the night. Final details to be announced."
The new show schedule is as follows:
Sunday 16 February – You’re A Star show live at 8pm on RTÉ One.Monday 17th February – Results show live at 8am on RTÉ One and 2FM and repeated on The Den at 5.10pm and on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
Sunday 23rd February – You’re A Star show live at 8pm on RTÉ One.Monday 24th February – Results show live at 8am on RTÉ One and 2FM, and repeated on The Den at 5.10pm and on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
Sunday 2nd March – You’re A Star show live at 8pm on RTÉ One.Monday 3rd March – Results show live at 8am on RTÉ One and 2FM, and repeated on The Den at 5.10pm and on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
