The surviving members of cult 60s band The Grateful Dead are to officially rename themselves The Dead.
The band retired their name and dubbed themselves The Other Ones after the death of founder Jerry Garcia in 1995.
A statement on the band's website said, "with the greatest possible respect to our collective history, we have decided to keep the name Grateful Dead retired in honour of Jerry's memory, and call ourselves: The Dead."
According to the their publicist the band are due to perform a Valentine's Day benefit concert and will also conduct a summer tour this year.
