Pop singer Anastacia has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 29-year-old star is due to have surgery to remove a lump from her breast and may also have to undergo a course of chemotherapy.
The singer, whose full name is Anastacia Kirkland, also suffers from a stomach condition called Crohn's disease.
The UK Vice President of her label Sony Music, Gary Farrow, said, "Anyone who knows Anastacia knows she's a fighter. She was diagnosed at the weekend and they have caught it early so it's business as usual at the moment."
Anastacia has sold more than five million albums worldwide.
