Spielberg to get Walk Of Fame star

Film director Steven Spielberg has been chosen to receive the first star of 2003 on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

The star will be placed outside the Kodak Theater, the venue for the Academy Awards.

Walk of Fame chairman Johnny Grant said it is the first time Spielberg has made himself available for a star.

"We're just pleased that we finally got him. He could have been approved 20 years ago." Grant said

Spielberg has won three Oscars, two for directing and producing 'Schindler's List' and a third for directing 'Saving Private Ryan.'

His recent films include 'Minority Report' and 'Catch Me If You Can'.
