Harry Potter is highest earner in 2002

'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' was the highest grossing film of 2002 with total international takings of over €454m.

Still on release, the second Harry Potter film topped the list leaving 'Spider Man' (€399m) in second place.

'Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones' is at three with €321m, followed by 'Men In Black II' at four.

Also still on release, 'The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers' (€193m) had the fifth highest box office takings of 2002.

Tom Cruise's 'Minority Report' is at number six, follwed by 'Ice Age', Mel Gibson's 'Signs' and 'Die Another Day' (still on release), starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.

'XXX', starring Vin Diesel, completes the top ten list.
